Advanced First Aid Kit – questions
Is the Advanced kit suitable for hiking and camping?
Yes. It is the kit we recommend for the outdoors: arm/leg splint, pressure bandage, rescue blanket, moleskin for blisters and a CPR shield, at 1.9 lb. For multi-day trips add water purification and your personal medications.
Can a small business use it as a workplace kit?
Many do, but it is not stocked to the ANSI/ISEA Z308.1 Class A list. Employers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 should use the OSHA Class A Workplace First Aid Kit or the Contractor Series, and may add an Advanced kit for vehicles and travel.
What is the difference with the Fundamental kit?
The Advanced adds a malleable arm/leg splint, triple antibiotic ointment, a rescue blanket, a self-adhesive wrap, non-adherent burn pads and a third pair of gloves – 90+ supplies vs 70+.
Does it contain medication?
Triple antibiotic ointment and BZK antiseptic towelettes are included; both are over-the-counter drug products labeled with FDA Drug Facts. No oral medications.
