The notices

Eight things to know before you buy, sell or restock

Each card states the rule, the source and what it means for you.

Standards compliance

Workplace kits meet ANSI/ISEA Z308.1 requirements (Class A / Type I–A and Type II–A as labeled on each product). They are designed to help employers meet OSHA first aid requirements under 29 CFR 1910.151(b) (general industry) and 29 CFR 1926.50 (construction).

OSHA does not approve, certify or endorse first aid products. Employers remain responsible for assessing worksite hazards and for training.

FDA status

Our kits are manufactured in an FDA-registered facility. First aid kits are generally FDA-listed Class I or Class II medical devices. They are never marketed as “FDA approved”.

Automated external defibrillators and their accessories are FDA-regulated devices approved through premarket approval; in the United States most AEDs are prescription devices.

OTC drug labeling

Drug-containing components – burn cream, antibiotic ointment, antiseptic and sting-relief towelettes – are labeled in accordance with FDA over-the-counter Drug Facts requirements (21 CFR 201.66). Read all product labels before use.

Product safety

Keep out of reach of children. Kits contain small parts – choking hazard. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and vehicle heat.

Expiration & restocking

Inspect contents regularly and replace used or expired items. Expiration dates apply to sterile and drug-containing components.

Recommended rhythm: twice a year at home, monthly in workplaces, weekly on construction sites (29 CFR 1926.50).
