Compact First Aid Kit – questions
Is the Compact kit enough for a car?
Yes, for everyday scrapes, sprains and small cuts: it fits a glovebox or a door pocket and includes a CPR shield and a cold pack. Families who drive a lot or travel with children often step up to the Advanced First Aid Kit for the splints and the pressure bandage.
What is the difference between the Compact and the Fundamental kit?
The Fundamental adds a fifth category – Burns – with hydrocolloid dressings, plus sting relief, moleskin and more gauze (70+ supplies vs 50+). The Compact is smaller and lighter.
Does it include a CPR shield?
Yes, a CPR barrier shield with a one-way valve is included, together with two nitrile gloves.
How long do the contents last?
Dressings keep for years when stored dry and sealed; antiseptic towelettes and the cold pack carry expiration dates printed on the item. Check the kit twice a year and after each use.
